My submission for ~SpottedPegasus Kelpie contest.
This is the kelpie in horse form, done in pigma micron pen and prismacolor pencils...
The kelpie haunts rivers and streams and after letting an unsuspecting human mount him, will dash into the water and give him a good dunking...the Irish form of the kelpie, the Each-Uisge, lives in the seas and lochs and is far more evil and dangerous than the Scottish kelpie. The Each-Uisge will carry his victims into open water and tear them to shreds and devour them, leaving only the liver behind. Ugh. If ridden inland, the Each-uisge is quite safe, but the slightest smell or sight of sea water will be death to the rider......

It's great to see more of your drawings! This is superbly done, The details are amazing and the stance is powerful. My only gripe is the water looks so still and it looks wrong with such a dynamic looking horse.

lol, he is being quiet and still to deceive you into thinking he is a gentle shaggy pony, otherwise you wouldn't get on him, right? ....actually, this was my first attempt at water, I had no reference, see where I had trouble where his body meets the water line? Practice, practice, practice...:shrug:

I love celtic legends, I want to do a selkie next, a seal woman who can shed her skin...:)
